Air Europa installs streaming services on its long-haul flights to offer passengers customised in-flight entertainment

Passengers travelling on the Airbus 330 can now download an extensive range of audiovisual material to their personal devices

This new service is part of the airline’s in-flight services improvement plan

Air Europa has just gone one step further in improving in-flight services by installing streaming services on its Airbus 330 fleet, so all passengers on long-haul flights will now have access to a wide range of audiovisual content that they can download to their personal devices.

The airline has invested in this wireless service to offer passengers movies, theme channels, games and a moving map. However, customers first need to download the “On the Air” app from the Apple Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android), before they can then download content to their device.

During the flight, passengers connect to the On the Air Wi-Fi network, with the airplane mode switched on, of course, where they will see the home page and can select the content they want from the top menu and download it to their device.

Air Europa has already installed the service on ten long-haul Airbus flights and will regularly change the in-flight entertainment with movies, games, new documentaries about travel, lifestyle, etc.

With the streaming serviced installed, the airline is progressing nicely with its aim to offer passengers the most advanced in-flight technology. The company’s long-haul flights now also have satellite Internet access, thanks to the innovative eXConnect system from Panasonic Avionics Corporation.
