  • Available for IOS and Android, the app is now working at ten of the company’s hotels in Europe and the Caribbean and will gradually be introduced into the other IBEROSTAR establishments throughout 2017

In line with the current digital transformation of the hospitality industry and the brand’s commitment to providing guests with the most innovative products, IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts launched the new IBEROSTAR APP, which includes improvements and additional functions that will enable guests to enjoy their experience at the hotel to the fullest.

The new tool is an app fully developed by the company and will therefore not depend on other products on the market. The app will be open to future innovations and is capable of incorporating new functions such as opening hotel room doors, or as a payment platform, all of which position it at the forefront of the industry and make it a unique benefit for IBEROSTAR guests.

The new app also enables us to better serve our guests with the IBEROSTAR experience in real-time with the inclusion of the e-concierge function, which provides guests access to a digital butler service to ask hotel staff for anything they need at any time.”

Designed to make the browsing, searching and booking process easier and more efficient, as well as enabling guests to select the experiences they wish to enjoy during their stay at the hotels. The IBEROSTAR APP is divided into three intuitive sections, including bookings and access to the web check-in service top make the arrival process faster and more convenient/comfortable. The app also includes another section to discover the IBEROSTAR Experience where guests can access all the hotel’s services and facilities on an interactive map, check all the dining options at the hotel, book a table at any of the restaurants, or check the room service menu and order dinner to their room. One of the most interesting features in the IBEROSTAR Experience section is the e-concierge, users can contact the hotel staff at any time, and employees can chat in real-time with the guests and attend to their needs. The app also offers users access to multiple services to make the most of their stay. These include late check-out, luggage storage and checking the availability of a courtesy room.

The app also includes a timeline indicating the various events and activities available on-site each day. Users will have the option to save these activities on their mobile calendar and can share on social media, providing a global view of everything that is happening at the hotel in real-time.

With the launch of this new app, the three stages of the IBEROSTAR  guests’ travel experience are covered: ‘before’ with the online booking and check-in options; ‘during’, thanks to the wide range of services available and important guest information; and ‘after’, as the app is also a new lasting communication channel between the company and its customers. The APP will also be a gateway for multiple companies to offer valuable services to their customers.
