Mario Domínguez, youth and professionalism at the service of the tourism industry

Without having reached 40, this young Madrid executive continues to acquire more and more responsibility within the tourism group Wamos. Currently, he’s the group’s deputy CEO and has been leading the Wamos Circuits and Wamos Tour sections for more than two years.

Wamos brings together several companies with extensive experience in the tourism sector. The group is run by the Andros company, which is owned by the investment fund Springwater Capital and Royal Caribbean and has been continuously growing and expanding in recent years. Wamos is made up of two tour operators, Wamos Tours and Wamos Circuits, the airline Wamos Air, and the Nautalia network of travel agencies.

Dominguez is fortunate to be defined by business colleagues and individuals within his direct competence as a professional of high calibre, extremely effective in high-pressure environments and with a very high level of commitment in the business world.

The group took full advantage of these qualities and Wamos offered him a new position in the group’s corporate structure two years ago as the director of the Wamos Circuits business line. Dominguez replaced José María de la Cruz, positioning himself below Enrique Saiz in the company’s organisational chart.

Mario Domínguez Vázquez took on the role of deputy CEO of Wamos Tours after Amadeu Franquet left the group at the end of March 2015. Before this, he worked as Product Manager in Wamos Circuits developing new products and launching new services. His work and cooperation with the sales teams in promoting products, training and closing commercial agreements in Latin American countries like Argentina and Bolivia was also remarkable.

Before moving to Wamos, Domínguez spent more than ten years as the business manager in the MICE corporate area, attracting new business and developing the client portfolio in big accounts for Pullmantur Cruises.

Mario Domínguez holds a Diploma in Business and Tourism Activities from the UNED, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the EUDE Business School, and other qualifications and academic training related to business management and administration.
