Where are the best views in Spain?

Some views take your breath away and leave you speechless and to get a look at the world from some of the most coveted spots is worth its weight in gold.

Here are some of Spain’s most sought-after “balconies”.

Balcón de Europa – Nerja, Malaga

One of the most well-known spots overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in Andalucia, and the perfect place to take some panoramic photos of the sea or pose alongside the famous statue of King Alfonso XII.

The Cíes Islands – Playa de Rodas, Pontevedra

The pathway begins at Rodas beach and at its highest viewpoint offers a magnificent perspective of the islands at the mouth of the Vigo estuary.

Parador de Toledo – Toledo

Toledo is an imperial city that possesses one very unusual quality, in that it’s as beautiful from inside the city as it is when admiring it from outside. But for us, there’s nothing like the stunning view from the Parador overlooking the city, with the Alcázar and the Cathedral magically floating over the roofs, domes and towers.

The Alhambra – Sacromonte (Granada)

Images of the sun setting with the majestic Alhambra have gone around the world and even the former U.S. president, Bill Clinton, called it the world’s most beautiful sunset. The Mirador de San Nicolas is the most popular vantage point, but it’s also the most crowded day in day out. Another option that now many people know about is the Mirador de la Vereda de Enmedio on the Sacromonte path that offers impressive views of the Alhambra with the city centre and the cathedral.

Cabo Formentor – Mirador de Sa Creueta, Majorca

Cap de Formentor is impressive in itself, a huge stone stronghold jutting out of the northernmost point on the island of Majorca. The road that runs through Formentor has many beautiful viewing points, but the most panoramic is the Mirador de Sa Creuta. A concrete balcony, with a bird’s eye view.

The Costa Brava – the road between Tossa and Sant Feliu de Guíxols (Girona)

This is a spectacularly scenic drive along the coast between the two towns that inspired the creation of the ‘Costa Brava’ brand.
