Interjet is a leading low-cost Mexican airline founded by Miguel Alemán Magnani in 2005. The company is undergoing progressive improvements in technological and aeronautical aspects and also in the areas of price savings for frequent flyers, comfort and customer service. In this article, we’d like to take an in-depth look at this remarkable entrepreneur who is closely tied to the world of tourism and transport.

Besides being the founder and Executive Chairman of the first low-cost Mexican airline, Interjet, Alemán Magnani is also the Chairman of the Tourism Program Committee of the Miguel Alemán Foundation,  and a Member of the Mexico City Tourism Advisory Council.

Alemán Magnani, is also a person closely tied to the world of communication. He’s a member of the ¡…Por México! Group (an agency integrating entrepreneurs, religious leaders and owners of media groups). A hobbie and professional vocation that goes back many years. When he was just 19 years old, he managed the “W” FM radio station giving impetus to the innovative project Magia Digital. He also promoted and produced the exchange of singers between Mexico and other countries like Japan, France and the United States. He organised Spanish music festivals in these countries and participated in the music production of the Mexico ’86 World Cup.

Returning to the world of tourism, he’s also a member of the Business Coordinating Council (National Council) and member of the Tourism Promotion Council of Mexico. He also regularly plays an important role in international forums like the Mexico Business Summit.

Miguel Aleman Magnani holds a law degree from the Universidad Anáhuac University in Mexico, and has completed the AD-I Business Administration Program at the Panamerican Institute of Business Administration (IPADE), and has also held senior management positions at Televisa, Channel 5 And Galavisión.

Unlike other airline companies, Interjet has created a loyalty program for its customers and rewards them with electronic money instead of air miles. This is one of the big successes of this Mexican entrepreneur that has increased the popularity and business of Interjet in Mexico and all over the American continent.
