Travel to Europe’s biggest music festivals this summer

Coachella 2018, the world’s biggest festivals for star-struck wannabes and celebrities is finished for another year. Grab a pen and paper, or your mobile, mark these dates, and travel across Europe to some of the biggest summer festivals.

Sónar Festival

Music 24 hours a day. The electronic and advanced music festival is on in Barcelona (Spain) from June 14-16. This year’s lineup is more than impressive this year with DJ Nobu, Charlotte de Witte, Gorillaz, Niño de Elche and other big names on the Spanish and international circuit confirmed to play.

Primavera Sound

Continuing with Barcelona, we have another hugely popular event. Keep an eye on this one as it’s first on our festival calendar this year. The Catalan capital plays host to Primavera Sound from May 2nd to June 3rd with the crème de la crème of the music scene: Belle and Sebastian, Alex Lahey, Bad Gyal, Holy Bouncer and many more artists on the festival’s fantastic lineup.

Isle of Wight Festival

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, this is the top UK festival in 2018 as Glastonbury is having a fallow year. Keep June 21-24 free and book a ticket to the Isle of Wight to check out Camila Cabello, Jessie J, Rita Ora and Tokio Myers await.

Secret Solstice

In the midst of Iceland’s most incredible landscape during the 24-hour midnight summer sun, we find an amazing festival in a spectacular setting with concerts inside a volcano, thermal springs and glaciers. Reikiavik is the place to be from June 21-24, with classic heavy metal at its best from Slayer, the UK grime and hip hop artist, Stormzy, and the legendary Bonnie Tyler.

Ultra Europe

We have to admit we’d go to this electronic music festival for the name alone. This year’s edition in Split (Croatia) from July 6-8 comes with a star-studded international lineup including Afrojack, Alesso and the French superproducer cum DJ, David Guetta.

Tomorrowland

We put an end to this musical journey with the mother of all European electronic music festivals. Book your flight to Boom in Belgium to enjoy music from big names like Carl Cox, San Holo, Steve Aoki, Vini Cici, Alan Walker, and many more. The festival runs over two weekends from July 20-22 and July 27-29.
